BOAT BUILT BY VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS LAUNCHED IN THE MARMARA SEA

A boat built by the Yalova Altınova Shipyard Entrepreneurs Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School students and which is expected to be mass produced has been launched in the Marmara Sea.

A boat built by the Yalova Altınova Shipyard Entrepreneurs Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School students and which is expected to be mass produced has been launched. The school is among 40 schools which has an R&D center.
 
"Boat Production from Composite Material Project" developed by teachers and students of the school located in the Altınova district was completed within two months by five teachers and four students.
 
Following the last checks, vocational high school students enjoyed the excitement of the launch of the 4 meter and 25 centimeter long boat.
 
The boat which can carry 4 people and has a 500 kilogram transport capacity is made up of storage, back and upper parts built from fiber and a special kind of resin was used as a standard for a tour boat and an amateur fishing boat.
 
Students who graduated from their school with employment guarantee started to work in the shipyards and they aim at having a place in their field by designing original boat models.
 
"Entrepreneurs ask for mass production"
School Principal Sedat Oymak said that he was proud of the students who worked in the production of the boat adding that, "We continue to develop new projects under the directions of our R&D center. One of our projects was the composite boat. We witnessed the launch of this boat. We are proud. We will continue to prepare new projects. As a result of our assessments, we are planning to start mass production of this boat. There is a demand for the boat and some entrepreneurs have asked for mass production."
 
Meanwhile, students who worked in the project said that they did a good job with the support of their teachers and consider this project as the beginning of other projects.
