ETHICS TRAINING AND TRAINING OF ETHICS TRAINING PROGRAMS COOPERATION PROTOCOL

Ethics Training and Training of Ethics Trainers Cooperation Protocol was signed between Minister Özer and Public Officers Ethics Board Chairwoman Zerrin Güngör during a ceremony participated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Ethics Training and Training of Ethics Trainers Cooperation Protocol was signed during a ceremony held at the Presidential Complex on the occasion of the Ethnics Week. The protocol aims at establishment and reinforcement of ethnic culture in the public.
 
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said during his speech at the ceremony that he supported the actions of the Public Officers Ethics Board that regulates ethical rules of public officers.
 
"Moral values briefly mean preferring good, politeness and good manners. It is our joint responsibility to follow these rules and customs in the public sector," stated Erdoğan.
 
"We have entered a crucial process when we have to focus on big and strong Türkiye"
Stressing that Türkiye is among the countries that have the deepest rooted state tradition, Erdoğan said that it has managed to achieve an important administration change in recent years and it has the power to carry these characteristics to future.
 
"In the past, our country had to deal with coups, instabilities and structural problems due to terror for a long time. We achieved to overcome all these problems as we have a strong state tradition. After these hard tests, we have entered a crucial process when we have to focus on big and strong Türkiye," stated Erdoğan.
 
"It was not easy to solve histories long neglects and shortcomings"
Erdoğan said that it was not easy to solve history's long neglects and shortcomings adding that, "We have faced many hardships and barriers in every step we take for democracy and development. When we considered this fact, it is not wrong to say that we had written a success story. We had the opportunity to set a bigger vision as we have found strong infrastructure in every field varying from education to health, from transportation to social services and from agriculture to industry. The Ethics Board has an important place in the big and strong Türkiye vision."
  
"Our civilization is based on science, knowledge and wisdom"
Meanwhile, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said during the ceremony that, "our civilization is based on science, knowledge and wisdom. We are the members of a civilization which offers its helping hand not only to its people but all oppressed people in different parts of the world. We wish to transfer the values of our civilization to our children and help them to blend these values with the skills of 21st century."
 
Özer noted that his Ministry adopted a new approach in training programs organized for teachers and school administrators in 2022 and added that, "We are not only organizing training programs for the improvement of academic skills, we also focus on teaching values and building a culture. At the beginning of this Month, we had a meeting with the administrators of all science high schools in the country and organized a two day seminar program about culture, history and civilization awareness. We will organize a similar program with other school administrators."
 
Özer stated that ethics values will be a part of all training programs organized for teachers and administrators.
   
"Training of ethics trainers"
Meanwhile, Public Officers Ethics Board Chairwoman Zerrin Güngör noted that the board has been organizing ethics training programs for public workers as well as for ethics trainers.
 
Noting that the cooperation protocol signed with the Ministry of National Education includes ethics training programs for teachers, school administrators and ethics trainers.
 
"Education aims at directing people for the better and it is actually an ethical effort. Ethics also means investing in people. In this light, we must teach ethic rules to younger generations," said Güngör.
