FACE TO FACE EDUCATION BEGINS IN FINE ARTS, SPORTS AND VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS

Starting from March 1, 2021, face to face education begins for all grades in applied classes at vocational and technical Anatolia high schools, multi-program Anatolia high schools, fine arts and sports high schools.

Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk stated that 12th grade students will start "reduced" face to face education starting from March 1 adding that vocational and technical high students who received skill training in the sector during the first term of this school year and want to continue their education during the second term will be allowed to get face to face education starting from February 15.
 
Minister Selçuk said applied lessons in the framework education programs will be face to face and theoretical classes will be given as a part of distance education.
 
"2020-2021 School Year Framework Education Program" published in the "meslek.eba.gov.tr" web-address includes field and elective courses which will be provided face to face for vocational and technical high schools and multi-programmed Anatolia high schools.
 
Face to face classes will not exceed 24 lessons a week
Face to face classes of applied courses and distance education classes of theoretical lessons will be planned by the committee of teachers.
 
Face to face classes for 12th grade students of vocational and technical high schools, multi-programmed Anatolia high schools, fine arts and sports high schools will be planned in a way that they won't exceed 24 lessons a week by considering the expectations of students.
 
Face to face and distance education lessons as well as class hours for Fine Arts and Sports High Schools can be seen in the "meslek.eba.gov.tr" web-address.
 
Face to face education will be optional
Face to face education and training activities will be optional and will not require attendance obligation. However, parents of students who will not attend face to face education have to submit a petition to the education institute administrations saying that they do not want to send their children to school due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  
 
Face to face education will be carried out by strictly obeying mask, social distance and hygiene rules within the context of protection against Covid-19.
