MILLIONS OF TEXT BOOKS DISTRIBUTED TO STUDENTS WILL BE RECYCLED

The Ministry of National Education initiated a new project as a part of the "Zero Waste Project" in order to recycle free text books distributed to students and teachers, notebooks and waste paper. The recycle project will begin at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

The new project initiated by the Ministry of National Education as a part of the "Zero Waste Project" will provide an opportunity for students and teachers to be volunteers in the recycle of free text books distributed to students and teachers, notebooks and waste paper. 
 
The Directorate General for Support Services affiliated to the Ministry designed a new project in an effort to prevent waste, use resources economically and productively.
 
According the new project, text books distributed free to pre-education, primary, secondary and high school students and teachers at the beginning of every school year will be collected by volunteers through the school administrations and sent for recycling.
 
The project will begin at the end of the 2020-2021 school year
The project will be carried out in state schools and education institutions under the coordination of district and provincial directorates of national education.
 
Schools will provide required information about text books and waste paper that will be sent for recycling to the Directorate General for Support Services affiliated to the Ministry until October 29, 2021.
