Senior state officials' meetings were held as the first leg of 6th meeting of education ministers of Turkic Council member states and 4th International Turkic Academy Science Board meeting in İstanbul.

Following the gathering, Minister Özer had separate meetings with the Deputy Minister of Uzbekistan Public Education Temurjon Komilov, Minister of Education and Science of Kirgizstan Bolotbek Kupeshev, Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov and Head of International Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali.

It has been noted that the historic language, culture and civilization ties between member states have turned into the mission of designing a common future and cooperation between countries speaking Turkish must be reinforced during the gathering.

Minister Özer said that Turkey is ready to share Turkey's experience in distance education, measurement and assessment, PISA exams and preparation process with member states.

Moreover, "Joint Turkic History", "Joint Turkic Literature" and "Geography of Turkic World" books preparations carried out by the Turkic Academy and scientific project subjects which will be carried out in line with the suggestions of the Ministry of National Education and member states were discussed during the gathering.

Deputy Ministers Sadri Şensoy and Petek Aşkar, Director General for EU and Foreign Relations Eyisoy Dalkıran, Director General for Religious Education Nazif Yılmaz, Director General for Vocational and Technical Education Nazan Şener, Head of Council of Education and Morality Cihad Demirli, Yükseköğretim and Director General for Study Abroad  Cemal Yıldız accompanied Minister Özer. 

Meanwhile, 6th Meeting of Education Ministers of Turkic Council's Member States hosted by the Minister will be participated by Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov, Azerbaijani Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Education and Science of Kirgizstan Bolotbek Kupeshev Deputy Minister of Uzbekistan Public Education Temurjon Komilov, Turkic Council Secretary-General Baghdad Amreyev, International Turkic Academy head Darkhan Kydyrali and Hungarian Consul General Laszlo Keller.
