The Ministry of National Education has allocated 169 million liras in the first 8 months of 2021 and 372 million liras in the first week of September for the natural gas transformation at schools. At the beginning of December, the Ministry allocated an additional 149 million liras to schools. The total allocations for natural gas transformation projects at schools reached 690 million liras in 2021.

 

Noting that the Ministry believes natural gas usage in all schools are important for both saving energy and protecting the environment, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said:

 

"After receiving demands from schools concerning natural gas transformation at the beginning of the school year, we have responded to their needs. Today, we allocated another 149 million liras for natural gas transformation. We have achieved an important development in this field by allocating a total of 690 million liras for natural gas transformation. We will continue to work on this project in the first six months of 2022."
