Minister Özer announced that education was suspended in Türkiye until 13 February due to the earthquake that hit Kahramanmaraş and affected many provinces in the region.

 

Özer said that they have suspended all schools in Türkiye for a week until February 13 due to the hard climate conditions. Özer said that this suspension was also necessary to carry out the works easily both in the provinces affected by the earthquake and the surrounding provinces. Özer emphasized that this decision was also necessary in order to carry out the processes more comfortably as a nation and the state and to facilitate access to the earthquake areas. Stating that they will keep all schools open for the service of citizens especially in 10 regions affected by the earthquake, Özer emphasized that all kinds of services related to accommodation and catering will be provided 24/7 to the citizens by schools and teachers houses.
