MEB, MINISTRY OF INTERIOR AFFAIRS AND TRT SIGN PROTOCOL FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TRAFFIC AWARENESS AMONG STUDENTS

The Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Interior Affairs and TRT have signed the "Cooperation Protocol for the Development of Traffic Awareness Among Students". Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said during the ceremony held on the occasion of the protocol that compulsory traffic safety courses and additional training programs will raise traffic awareness and establish positive behavior among students.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer, Minister of Interior Affairs Süleyman Soylu and Director General of TRT Mehmet Zahid Sobacı attended the ceremony held on the occasion of signing the "Cooperation Protocol for the Development of Traffic Awareness Among Students" and "Pedestrian Priority and Respect for Life" activity.
 
Minister Özer said during his speech at the ceremony that the protocol will activate an important cooperation that will allow schools to implement functions more safely adding that, "We have successfully cooperating with the Ministry of Interior Affairs for years for maintaining security both in and outside of schools".
 
Özer stated during the ceremony held on the occasion of the protocol that compulsory traffic safety courses and additional training programs will raise traffic awareness and establish positive behavior among students. He reminded that mobile training trucks were used for raising traffic awareness among students in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior Affairs and approximately 25 thousand students attended traffic training programs in 39 cities.
 
Özer noted that TRT has supported his Ministry while producing contents and the project will be disseminated to 81 cities and 922 districts of the country as soon as possible.
