MEB WILL SHARE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION REFORM AND ITS EXPERIENCE IN THIS FIELD WITH OECD COUNTRIES IN THE CONFERENCE WHICH WILL BE HELD IN İSTANBUL

"Building Future Ready Vocational Education and Training System: Learning Türkiye's Vocational Education and Training Reform Experience" conference which will be organized by the OECD and the Ministry of National Education will be participated by OECD member states and many other states.

In addition to many countries such as Austria, Switzerland, Albania, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Croatia, Morocco, Slovakia, Georgia, many international agencies and institutions, Turkish business world and NGOs will attend the OECD- Türkiye Vocational Education Conference which will be organized in cooperation with OECD and the Europe Education Foundation and hosted by the Ministry of National Education at the OECD İstanbul headquarters on December 1, 2022.
 
It is expected that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will send a video message to the opening ceremony of the conference.
 
Türkiye will share vocational education reform experience with the OECD countries
Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer reminded that he had a meeting with the OECD General Secretary Mathias Cormann when he was in Paris in June in order to attend the "Transforming Education Pre-Summit adding that, "General Secretary Cormann appreciated transformation achieved in the education system of Türkiye especially in the vocational education. He proposed to share this experience which must be an inspiration for OECD member states and other countries in its region. Within this framework, we will host a vocational education summit in İstanbul with the participation of OECD member states and many other countries."
 
Concerning the context of the conference, Minister Özer said, "Conformity of vocational and technical education with the needs of labor market, innovations in vocational and technical education, flexibility of vocational and technical education as well as support system in transition to the employment after the vocational and technical education will be discussed in four different thematic sessions."
 
Özer noted that Türkiye has achieved a silent revolution in education in the last twenty years and said, "Türkiye has become a country that shares its experience and knowledge with other countries. It is an honor for us. I would like to thank President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his leadership."
 
Türkiye will share vocational education reform experience with policy makers and social partners from the OECD member states and other countries.
