MINISTER ÖZER MET POST GRADUATE STUDENTS STUDYING IN PARIS WITH MEB SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

As a part of his visit to France where he attended the Transforming Education Pre Summit, the Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer got together with post-graduate students studying in Paris with the scholarship program of the Ministry of National Education.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer is visiting Paris in order to participate in the "Transforming Education Pre Summit" organized by UNESCO and hold contacts and he got together with the post grade students studying in France with the scholarship program of the Ministry of National Education.
 
Pursuant to Law No. 1416 on Students to be Sent to Foreign Countries, the Ministry of National Education sends students abroad in order to train the qualified workforce needed by higher education institutions and other public institutions and organizations.
 
Minister Özer visited Türkiye's Embassy in Paris and met with students who are in France with the Graduate Education Scholarship (YLSY) program of the Ministry.
 
Minister Özer listened to each and every student studying in post-graduate programs in France and stated that he would activate improvement mechanisms for abroad education and increase cultural and artistic activities by considering the suggestions of students.
 
Noting that people who completed the YLSY program that allowed thousands of young people to study abroad since the early years of the Republic made contributions to the development of Türkiye, Minister Özer reminded that Atatürk had written special letters to each student who studied abroad.
 
Özer stressed that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gives special importance to the YLSY scholarship program adding that, "Number of YLSY increased especially in the last 20 years. You are very important for our country. ''Your studies in this country will make an important contribution to our efforts to carry our country to a higher level. We believe that you will complete your education and return home with different new efficiencies. One person can change the entire society. Every single person is crucial for Türkiye. It is our duty to improve your conditions."
 
Türkiye's Ambassador to Paris Ali Onaner, Deputy Ministers of National Education Sadri Şensoy and Petek Aşkar, Directorate General for EU and Foreign Relations of the Ministry Hasan Ünsal and Türkiye's Education Counsellor in Paris Suna Timur Ağıldere were also present at the meeting.
