MORE THAN 1 BILLION AND 650 MILLION TL CONTRIBUTION TO THE COUNTRY'S ECONOMY BY THE VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS
Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that the vocational and technical high schools increased their income as a part of revolving fund by 200 percent in the first ten months of 2022 when compared to the figures of the same period in 2021 and increased their income from 558 million and 231 thousand liras to 1 billion and 651 million liras.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said that vocational and technical education students are making production in a real work environment within the context of "reinforcement of education-production-employment cycle" mentality and continue to support production activities with the purpose of learning while producing.
Noting that the vocational high schools showed a significant increase in their income as a part of rotating capital, Özer went on to say that, "Income of vocational and technical education institutions in the first ten months of 2021 was 558 million and 231 million liras, this figure increased by 196 approximately 200 percent in 2022 and their income in the first ten months of 2022 reached 1 billion and 651 million liras. The target of the Ministry was to increase the production capacity of these schools to one and a half billion liras in 2022 but we already went beyond our goal in the first ten months of 2022."
First five cities that increased their income most
Minister Özer gave information about income figures of five cities which hosted vocational and technical schools that increased their income most in the first ten months of 2021 and 2022 and said, "Schools in İstanbul increased their income from 78 million and 711 thousand liras to 184 million and 312 thousand liras; schools in Ankara increased their income from 49 million and 882 thousand liras to 162 million and 568 thousand liras; schools in Gaziantep increased their income to 141 million liras, schools in Bursa increased their income to 112 million liras and 315 thousand liras and schools in Gaziantep increased their income to 141 million liras, schools in Bursa increased their income to 112 million liras and 315 thousand liras and schools in Konya increased their income to 76 million liras and 274 thousand liras."
First three schools which increased their income most
Minister Özer said that first three schools that increased their income most in the first ten months of 2022 are respectively Gaziantep Şehitkamil Şehit Serdal Şakır Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School, Bursa Osmangazi Tophane Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School and Ankara Beypazarı Fatih Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School.
Meanwhile, first three schools which earned highest income in the first ten months of 2022 focus on informatics technologies, electric-electronic technology, chemistry technology, metal technology, furniture and interior design, metallurgy technology, plastic technology, textile technology, machine and design technology, construction technology, motor vehicle technology and family and consumer services.
Schools earning the highest income as a part of rotating capital are respectively food and beverage services, furniture and interior design, accommodation and travel services, metal technology and chemistry technology.
